A New FREE Video Series on Farm Safety and OH&S from the MOFS Team!
The VFF is committed to utilising the Making Our Farms Safer (MOFS) project, to improve safety outcomes for the Victorian agricultural industry. We know that this is a busy time of year for many, and that safety can unfortunately be pushed aside, so we’ve come up with a new series to make that information available to you for free and online!
Our new ‘Dining Table Talks: Farm Safety’ video series has been launched, and is available now for you to start watching. New episodes will be put up every few weeks, so follow our Social media channels and also our YouTube Channel to stay up-to-date.
Over the last three years, the MOFS team have delivered more than 350 in-person farm safety visits. This series will cover all of the most important topics that our Senior Farm Safety Advisor John Darcy discusses with farmers at the dining table, on these visits.
Each video episode will be available for you to watch whenever it is convenient for you, and will cover an aspect of an employer’s OH&S responsibilities, tailored specifically to farmers. Supporting templates and resources will also be available for free download on our website.
The language used in the videos will be largely identical to that used when meeting with farmers at their homes (i.e. at their dining tables).
Episode #1 – Inductions, focuses on the importance of conducting inductions with your employees, how to do an induction correctly, and what documentation you need to have. It can be found below:
